That throughout the onslaught of people who enter and exit this world only a few are chosen to rise above all. The haunting secret of the talented or THE GIFTED is that they realize the relentless work and energy put into their craft to make them appear godly among mortals. To what heights do you wish to ascend to? What greatness are you willing to reach and how tirelessly are you willing to work at it? Life isnt not just a mere game of whose blessed and whose not, that would make things too simple. Tell that to a kid from the inner cities of Chicago, Detroit or New York who start off with NOTHING... Life is about THE GIFTED, those who understand their talents and realize that the work isnt done. Those who not only wish to succeed but to bring the world to its knees. Live From The Favelas: Brazil

Whether its Brazil's Cidade De Deus(City of God) or the inner city of Rio, the Favelas are a notorious playground for all things treacherous.

The inner city is term we use more than we think about what it means. They say say you can judge the strength of something by its weakest link, how ironic that very often the strength of a city is on display at its best in what is regarded as the most impoverished areas of it. Brazil is beautiful, but for damn sure it is violent. The Favelas of Brazil is regarded as one of the most dangerous areas on the face of the planet. Children are dying, women raped, young men become murderers or murdered. This is all commonplace in the world but ratcheted up several notches for Brazil, think 1990's Compton, CA times ten.

Children in the Favelas are more likely to die violently then in any place in North America and many places in the world. The slaughter of tens of thousands of the citizens are swept under the rug here, much like many places of poverty. Hopelessness and rebellion are at an all time high, Brazil is at war with its ghettos.

There is a terrible disservice we due to the human race while we are inhabitants on this earth. We don't take care of them. As much money as we have, as much resources as we allocate we always claim there isn't enough. The root of the violence is not that people want to do bad things innately, it is the fact that there needs aren't met and the people they trust with helping them to solve the issue turns a blind eye. Violence in ghettos are simply reactions to the situation whether it be lack of education, lack of food and water, and lack of money. The battle between the worlds ghettos and its government is a dance with the devil, one could only hope that both sides can come to an agreement or they'll surely destroy each other.

Encouragement

I'm a firm believer in the notion that you get back what you give back to the universe. Among a lot of other things I feel that we are too selfish a society yet we expect people to be selfless with us. Have you ever thought about how often you encourage people? Have you ever thought about how often you disregard helping someone because it doesn't directly benefit you? The worst offense is that you will find out that the people you are closest to you may encourage the least. People you don't even know will give you more words of encouragement than people you have known your entire life. I say that to say this, the universe works in ironic ways. You know whats right in your heart so if you ever do different for the wrong reasons the universe will pay you the same in return. Give in abundance and with no incentive and you shall receive the same.

Social Media Blurring The Lines Of Creativity

What I'm about to talk about in this post may be the single most bothersome things I come across on a daily basis. There is a quote that I take refuge in when I first thought about sharing my view on this, it goes "you are not entitled to your opinion. you are entitled to your informed opinion. No one is entitled to be ignorant". With this idea in mind what I have realized is that due to social media everyone now can be seen as a creator or a person of substantial intellect, even if you don't possess it... as long as you appear to have it. It's kind of like being a lifeguard at the beach yet if you were put to the test you would not be able to save a soul. I partially blame the Internet and social media as a machine for making people think they can pose as something they aren't. I mostly blame the people posing like they know things, experienced things or have traveled places they haven't when there are people out here who take creativity, culture, philosophy and intelligent thinking seriously. Now we live in a world where anyone with a opinion can say anything and broadcast it for masses to consume no matter how foolish it may be. Honestly when I see things now I don't know what to believe, I choose to consume information cautiously. I challenge you all to be your own person and be true to your soul, the world needs more individuals and less wannabes and pretenders.

Simply put, the laws of attraction say that you attract to your life whatever you think about. Your dominant thoughts will manifest. Just A Thought: Beauty Distorted Part 1

When you close your eyes and think of beauty what is the first thing you think of? I can assure that if it isn't a celebrity its most likely a model or an image of a person almost unreal. That's because the media and its outlets has distorted the common man/woman's perception of beauty and to an extent that drastically effects our reality to the point it's no longer real.Women now believe they are no longer pretty unless they are a size 2. Men feel like they need awesome bodies and money to buy over women. The worst part is that instead of dispelling the notion we feed the beast.

At some point we must look into our souls and find the confidence to be who we want to be and never falter. I am not speaking as someone who has conquered that battle, but as someone on those same mental battlefields as you are.
